BOB ORANGER
BASSY BOB PROJECT
Bob Oranger (aka Bassy Bob) is a singer-songwriter, arranger and above all bassist. In his world where groove is king, jazz, funk and soul intermingle. It is therefore quite naturally that he chose to place the bass guitar at the center of his compositions, in particular in the percussive and rhythmic aspect offered by the instrument (slap, taping). Influenced by masters of the genre such as Marcus Miller, Jaco Pastorius or Stanley Clark, Bob has established himself as one of the most sought-after bass players in France, collaborating with Amadou and Mariam, Fatoumata Diawara, Keiziah Jones, Cheick Tidiane Seck, Steve McCraven and many more. Under his group Bassy Bob Project, he released 2 albums, Vision of times (2010) and Les Vraies Choses (2017), in which he unfolds all his technical and musical qualities in the service of funk, jazz and blues which he merges with sincerity and energy. A real phenomenon on stage, it explodes and brings all audiences to their knees!
